The amazing story of the Bible points to a cross where Jesus died for our sins. It is the fulfillment of God’s perfect love toward us. Yet His love is magnified as we understand that the perfect Son of God died for very imperfect sinners. Christ died for us. Even more poignant is the fact that Jesus died for each individual. He died for you. He died for me.
Please read these verses in the Bible:
Our Great Problem: Ecclesiastes 7:20
For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.
Religion’s Weakness: Titus 3:5
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us…
God’s Solution: 1 Corinthians 15:3
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures…
God’s Plan: John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
God’s Demand: Luke 13:5
I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
Our Choice: John 3:36
He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
The great invitation of the Bible asks you to decide what you will do with Jesus. He died by the shedding of blood to pay the debt of our sin. He rose again to give victory over sin. Still, you must make a choice. If you would desire Jesus to wash your sin away and save you, these words explain how to come to Christ:
Romans 10:9-10
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Will you cry out to Jesus and trust Him for eternal life? I urge you to make this the day of your salvation!
